Selling your home during the hot summer months can be fun! Fun for you and fun for the prospective purchasers. When their is a showing scheduled for your home, make sure your air conditioning is on (if you have it in your home, have ceiling fans on, and in rooms that may be darker, open the curtains to let the best light in. Have your kitchen table set for a meal with cute summer dishes (maybe, even lemonade glasses). If you have a porch, set it up to make the buyers feel welcomed and want to sit out on the porch or deck. Fresh flowers are always nice to see when viewing a home, too!
Keeping in mind, they would rather be at the beach in this hot weather, just like you and I. People do forget about sitting and relaxing when they are house hunting. Use your imagination and enjoy prepping your home for their smiles and maybe, you'll cause a sale. After all, homebuying is an emotional purchase.
I remember sitting on our porch with our children in the evenings and watching the fireflies light up in the yard. Free to view and well worth the time to watch and smile:) Making memories in a home is priceless!
